THANK YOU!!!

Nothing beats our fans! At home, on the road, at the MAC Tournament or at the NCAA's - you are the best!
I wanted to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thank you to our fans for helping to make this season such a special one. It was an unbelievable run – a 7th divisional championship, a 7th straight MAC Championship with the MAC Tournament Championship, an overall record of 28-5, and the graduation of six amazing seniors. But none of this would have been as special as it was if it weren’t for you, our fans. Your support is so fantastic, I can’t put into words just how much it means to our team and our program. There is a reason we’ve won 46 of our last 48 games here at home, and why coaches like Quentin Hillsman from Syracuse said “it was an honor to play in such a great college basketball atmosphere” or why Notre Dame’s Muffet McGraw said our “crowd is amazing”. YOU make this place special as much as any player ever has, and YOU make this place a difficult place for opponents to be successful! But not only that, you travel as well as ANY fans in the country, and it motivates our kids more than anything when they see more orange in the stands than the colors of the other team, and we’re on the road!

Just prior to tip-off against Central Michigan in the MAC Tournament Semi-Finals, CMU Head Coach Sue Guevara approached me on our bench and pointed to the sea of orange and said “Your fans are fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I just had to come down here and tell you that. They’re amazing. I could only hope that someday we have a following like you do.” I don’t think I could’ve said it better myself.

Thank you, so very, very, very much, for the love and support you’ve shown our team this year. Next year when we open the Stroh Center we’ll be opening it with five freshmen, and we’ll continue to need your support more than ever. It may be a new building, but it will STILL be the House that Roars, thanks to you!

Gratefully Yours,

Curt Miller
