The Dream Becomes Reality: BGSU Breaks Ground on New Arena

On September 3rd before the football game, BG officially broke ground on their brand new arena. The Women's Basketball Team and Coaching Staff would like to say a huge thank you to Kerm Stroh and his family for the lead donation. It was a great day of celebration! The event started with Kerm Stroh entering the tent through a tunnel of student-athletes. Our very own senior, Sarah Clapper, helped to MC the event. The crowd of over 200 people heard from our AD Greg Christopher, the President Carol Cartwright, and Men's Basketball player Joe Jacubowski. Kerm then addressed and thanked the crowd before climbing up on the backhoe to begin the digging!! It will be exciting to watch the progress of the Stroh Center over the next year and a half!
